What’s the Cotton Pad Method?

The cotton pad method is a quick and easy way to remove used wax from your burner without waiting for it to fully harden. It’s ideal if you enjoy changing fragrances regularly.

1. Extinguish the tealight (or turn off your electric burner).
2. Wait until the wax has cooled slightly. You want it to be liquid but no longer extremely hot.
3. Place a cotton pad or cotton wool ball into the melted wax.
4. Allow it to absorb the wax for a few seconds.
5. Carefully lift the cotton pad out using tweezers or your fingers (if it’s cool enough) and dispose of it in the bin.
6. Wipe away any remaining residue with a fresh cotton pad or kitchen roll before adding a new wax melt.
