The main natural wax we use is soy, as do many other candle makers. However, wax suppliers are super inventive and keep coming up with different natural waxes such as coconut, rapeseed & plant based additives.

Why do we use natural waxes? Below are the three main reasons why we choose to use natural wax.

1. 100% Natural. Natural wax does not contain anything artificial, in comparison to paraffin wax which is made from petroleum oil. We like to keep things natural where we can.

2. Non Toxic. It has been claimed that paraffin wax gives off harmful by-products, such as carcinogens, when burned or melted. These by products can be damaging to your health, where as natural wax is non toxic. We see our health as something we should all take care of.

3. Environmentally Friendly. We are passionate about the environment and we make conscious changes where we can. Natural wax is non toxic making it better for the environment. Natural wax also comes from renewable resources making it better for the environment whereas paraffin wax comes from petroleum, which is not a renewable resource.
