Blackberry Bush

A summer at its most generous

By July, the lane behind our barn all but disappears. The brambles take it back, thick and unruly, and the whole hedgerow leans heavy with fruit.

Blackberry Bush began there, on a slow walk home with stained fingers and the last of the evening light on our backs. We wanted to keep that feeling: a little wild, warmly familiar, and full of the season.

Mood

Abundant, sun-warmed, quietly nostalgic

It is the scent of a summer that gives freely: ripe, soft and unhurried, with a nostalgia that settles somewhere behind the heart.

Landscape

Hedgerows heavy with fruit and overgrown fields

Picture the untamed edges of the countryside, thorned vines and fresh green leaf, where the fruit grows sweetest just out of reach.

Ritual

A slow walk home as the evening light softens

Light it in the golden hour, when the day loosens its grip and there is nowhere in the world you need to be.
